Men's Retreat Weekends 2021

The men of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish are invited to take part in our parish’s annual Men’s Retreat at St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center on the South Side.

Given the challenges of the past several months, this season’s retreat theme is especially appropriate: Hope Does Not Disappoint (Romans 5:5) – Finding Hope in an Imperfect World.

In response to COVID-19 guidelines, our program has been revised to consist of a one-day Saturday retreat in January and two traditional weekend retreats in February—each of which will accommodate a maximum of 35 retreatants.

Please consider taking part in one of the following retreats:

• Saturday, January 30, 2021, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (one day retreat)
• Friday, February 5–Sunday, February 7, 2021 (full weekend)
• Friday, February 19–Sunday, February 21, 2021 (full weekend)

The suggested offering for the Saturday retreat day is $125/person, which includes lunch and dinner. The stipend for weekend retreats is $250/person, which covers the retreat center’s actual costs.

One free retreat to be awarded to first-time retreatant:
If you have not previously attended a retreat, and would like a chance to do so for free, the Parish Retreat Committee is holding a raffle for first-time retreatants. The raffle winner will be able to attend the one-day retreat scheduled at St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center on Saturday, January 30th for free.

The winner will be drawn on Sunday, January 24th (one week before the retreat date) and notified that day.

Note: Due to potential COVID restrictions, it’s possible that the February weekend retreats could change to one-day retreats. Should that occur, we well let you know as early as possible and costs will be adjusted to reflect the change.
