Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish
The Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian Life” and provides a genuine encounter with Jesus Christ which helps faithful people grow in relationship with Christ.
There are many opportunities to participate in this greatest mystery of our faith at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. The Faithful may receive Eucharist daily at any of our scheduled Masses, funeral Masses, and special occasion Masses.
In addition, the Eucharist is reserved in the Tabernacle and is available for private prayer at scheduled times.
First Eucharist
The Eucharist is one of the Sacraments of Intiation into the Catholic faith, and Catholics believe that Jesus Christ is truly and miraculously present in the Eucharist. For this reason, preparation is necessary before receiving Eucharist for the first time.
If your child is scheduled to receive his or her First Eucharist this school year, please download, complete and return the Registration and Retreat Permission form to the Faith Formation Office or scan/email to mnelson@mountcarmelpgh.org.
Sacramental Parent Meeting
There will be a Sacramental Parent meeting for parents of students who will be making their First Eucharist and First Reconciliation in 2023. The meeting will be held in the Fall of 2022. Please check the weekly Bulletin and Flocknote for announcements and updates.
If your child is scheduled to receive his or her First Eucharist this school year, please complete the following Registration Link and Retreat Permission included in the link below.
